About you
We are looking for a structured, detail-oriented, and highly organised data professional to support the accuracy, automation, and efficiency of our internal financial and operational reporting.
The Finance & Reporting Operations Specialist will own financial data flows, maintain reporting files, automate dashboards, ensure data consistency, and support the finance team with basic accounting records.
This role ensures clean, up-to-date data and reliable reporting in a Google Workspace (G-Suite) environment across a multi-entity SaaS group.
What You’ll Do:
- Financial Data Management
- Maintain and update monthly financial models (P&L, ARR, KPIs, deferred revenue).
- Ensure data accuracy across entities, currencies, and reporting files.
- Update datasets used for dashboards and management reporting.
- Reporting & Automation
- Build and optimize automated Google Sheets reports (ARRAYFORMULA, QUERY, IMPORTRANGE, Apps Script).
- Develop dynamic dashboards for finance, sales, and operations.
- Convert manual reports into automated workflows.
- G-Suite Structure & Template Management
- Manage and improve folder structures, naming conventions, version control, and archiving.
- Maintain corporate templates (reports, trackers, SOPs).
- Basic Accounting & Financial Admin
- Record routine accounting entries (prepayments, accruals, expense classifications).
- Organise invoices, receipts, contracts, and financial documents.
- Maintain trackers (AP, AR, vendors, contracts, payments).
- Prepare data for accounting integrations (Xero/QuickBooks/ERP).
- Enter recurring/simple transactions and perform basic reconciliations.
- Maintain clear audit trails and documentation.
- Database & Repository Management
- Maintain customer, product, contract, and transaction databases.
- Consolidate and clean data from multiple sources.
- Ensure alignment between Google Sheets, CRM, and finance tools.
- Financial Operations Support
- Prepare data for month-end close and internal reviews.
- Assist with variance analysis, KPIs, and financial summaries.
- Support development of new tools, trackers, and dashboards.
- Governance & Documentation
- Maintain SOPs related to data handling, reporting, and accounting support.
- Ensure compliance with access rights, naming policies, and version control.
What Skills and Experience You’ll Bring:
- Advanced Google Sheets skills (ARRAYFORMULA, QUERY, Apps Script preferred).
- Strong understanding of data structures and file organisation.
- Basic accounting knowledge (debits/credits, accruals, prepayments, GL).
- Experience with BI tools (Looker Studio or Power BI) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with accounting tools (Xero, QuickBooks, ERP, Asana) is a plus.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple data sources consistently.
- Proactive and structured problem-solver.
