About the Role
As a Legal & Compliance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting TRG’s day-to-day legal and compliance activities across multiple countries and commercial engagements. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role, ideal for someone early in their compliance career who is detail-oriented, structured, and eager to learn how compliance operates in a global technology environment.
You will support core compliance workflows related to country risk assessments, end-user and third-party due diligence, sanctions and regulatory screening, and internal governance processes. Working closely with Sales, Finance, Product, and Management, you will help ensure that TRG’s commercial activities align with internal policies and international regulatory expectations.The role also requires flexibility to support ad-hoc legal and compliance matters as they arise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This role offers direct exposure to international operations, real-world compliance decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration. It is well suited for a junior to mid-level professional (1–3 years’ experience) who is comfortable following defined processes, documenting decisions clearly, and gradually taking on broader responsibility as they grow within the company.
What You’ll Be Responsible
Compliance Operations & Risk
- Execute Know-Your-Country, End-User, and Third-Party compliance workflows
- Perform country and jurisdiction risk assessments (low / medium / high risk)
- Conduct sanctions screening, adverse media checks, and due diligence reviews
- Use World-Check / World-Compliance and other online screening tools to assess risk exposure
- Maintain accurate compliance records, approvals, and risk logs in internal systems
Sales & Commercial Support
- Act as a compliance point of contact for Sales and Channel Partners
- Send, track, and manage NDAs, Due Diligence Questionnaires, declarations, and onboarding documents to distributors, agents, resellers, and other third parties
- Review submitted documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Support the compliance approval process prior to commercial engagement
- Communicate compliance decisions, conditions, or next steps clearly to internal stakeholders
Governance & Monitoring
- Support the implementation and maintenance of internal compliance procedures, controls and databases.
- Assist with ongoing monitoring of approved countries, customers, and partners
- Support internal reporting, audits, and periodic compliance reviews
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance workflows and documentation.
- Support basic confidentiality, data privacy and data-handling requirements in line with internal policies
- Support ad-hoc legal, compliance, and governance tasks as required, including time-sensitive or priority matters
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, International Relations, Risk, or a related field
- 1–3 years’ experience in compliance, risk, governance, or a related function
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Close attention to detail and a structured working style
- Ability to follow defined processes and document decisions clearly
- Analytical mindset with sound judgment
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Comfortable working across multiple teams and jurisdictions
Nice to Have
- Exposure to sanctions screening, AML, or third-party due diligence
- Experience in a technology or fast-growing company
- Familiarity with internal workflow tools (e.g. Asana, DocuSign, World Compliance or similar)
